The Morada Bay water lily thrives in India's warm, sunny climate. For optimal growth and abundant blooms, situate your Morada Bay in a pond or container with at least 5 hours of direct, unfiltered sunlight daily. This is a 100% outdoor plant.
Soil: Use any top soil without cocopeat mix though clayey soil is most suitable. Detailed planting & care guidelines are included with the plant. Please refer to the knowledge base & FAQ’s for more details.
Water: Avoid hard water. Any potable water like tap water or borewell is suitable.
Pot/Container: A minimum of 24 inches diameter and 15 to 18 inches high pots or containers made of fiber, plastic, or concrete are most suitable as these materials retain heat that these plants require.
Pest and Disease Control: Keep an eye out for common water lily pests like aphids or snails. These can be treated with appropriate organic or chemical controls, following manufacturer guidelines. Regularly inspect the leaves for signs of disease and take action as needed.
Winter Dormancy: In colder Indian regions, the Morada Bay may enter a period of dormancy during winter. Reduce watering and fertilization during this time.
