• Sunlight: Six to eight hours of direct sunlight is crucial. Choose a location in your garden that receives ample sun throughout the day. The intense Indian sun is ideal for producing the richest color saturation. Avoid planting in areas with excessive shade.
• Water: The water should be still or gently moving. Maintain a water depth of at least 12-18 inches (30-45 cm), allowing the lily pads to float comfortably on the surface. Regular water changes are beneficial, especially during hotter months, to prevent algae growth and maintain water quality.
• Water Temperature: Pink Flamingos prefer warm water, reflecting India's generally tropical climate. The ideal temperature ranges from 70-85°F (21-29°C). During colder months, you may need to take additional steps to maintain water temperature.
