- Water: Use potable water, avoiding hard water. Tap or borewell water is suitable.
- Soil: Any top soil without cocopeat mix is suitable, though clayey soil is most preferred for retaining moisture.
- Pot/Container: Choose a pot or container with a minimum diameter of 30 inches and a height of 15-18 inches. Fiber, plastic, or concrete materials are ideal due to their heat retention properties.
- Pest and Disease Control: Keep an eye out for common water lily pests like aphids or snails. These can be treated with appropriate organic or chemical controls, following manufacturer guidelines. Regularly inspect the leaves for signs of disease and take action as needed.
